update time heres what happened today apparently the school is gonna be sending us over to the neighbouring OMNI aviation to finish off our core flying phase yes ... we will be assigned to new instructors which can be good or bad but most importantly we will be flying cessna 172s damn it all...
on another note cebupacific is now having a promo for flights in nov and december... sooo good news for me!
say if i were to have a gathering at my place on the 9th at 7pm how many of you could make it? tag please all are invited unless i don't really know you too well its not a party just a meal with friends kapish?

yes twice strangely i didnt feel one bit tired even though my poor tummy lacked breakfast AND lunch! alright so i flew with captain liam toner our first flight was advanced circuits (short field take off and landing etc) our second flight was steep turns which is basically a 45deg aob at a constant altitude and steep descending turns which is basically the same without much back pressure and lesser power
unfortunately we could not complete advanced circuits as we had to practice a crosswind take off which as the more intellectually inclined among us would know, requires a crosswind...
as such without one we can't do it
alas the gods did not favour us oh well we'll save it for some other time
so we got back on the ground and left all in all a productive day i can't help but feel like its moving the way it should

just that there were really long showers
so most flights were grounded
so i went to the mall
haha caught Death Race it was pretty good

ok then went to get groceries
went to starbucks

alright today same old same old went to sm(supermalls) in the afternoon and caught the mummy3 it sucks... so disappointing... really i thought it would've been more what a waste of my time.when it could have been spent doing better things... hint hint then went to yellow cab pizzas and ate a 10inch chicken barbeque haha went to get some groceries and then headed back

ok right today woke up at about 10 got ready for my flight today ... got my hair cut... why don't we just skip to the interesting parts eh? went to the airfield was friggin late cos aparently there were no drivers...(and they couldnt tell us b4hand .... of course ) but lucky for me my instructor wasnt there yet .... filed my flight plan did my preflight inspection... and yes just as i thought i was going to be doing my 6th sortie today... good ol Mr Lucky Delfin(how ironic that all his students should be UNLUCKY) has to burst my bubble and tell me that since i haven't been flying for a month now... i have to repeat my 5th sortie... darnit ! ok so i did my whole 5th sortie again took off went to charlie 4 and lo and behold i did the landing!!! well not my first time but its the first time i've had total control of the aircraft and i mean he didnt even have his hands near the control stick! my approach was perfect ... but haha flaring the aircraft is a different story i cam down far too fast and flare far too late... got scolded for that ... oh well theres always tomorrow... took some pretty pics of the setting sun too. coming right up

so i wasn't able to fly today. darned new chief flight instructor(cfi for short) apparently my hair is unacceptable. whats so hard to accept...its just hair!!! its not gonna impede my flying abilities ... well unless it gets in my face. which it won't.
so for tomorrow i gotta go cut my hair ... darnit... excuse the outburst and if all goes well tomorrow it'll be sortie 6 stalls part 2. uh huh you heard me stalls. for those of you cracking your heads over this word. a stall (in terms of flight)is an abrupt reduction in lift produced by the airfoil... in other words, imagine a plane moving towards the earth vertically. get the picture and yea i gotta do that. just for a few seconds. thats when we put into use the SSRP which stands for standard stall recovery ... if that doesnt work then we get to the P

ok. been a long time since i've done this. i'm sorry alright!!! gimme a break. blogging is foreign to me! okok so whats happened since the last post that was what months ago?! err well i went back to sg for a couple of weeks oh wait i've done that a couple of times... err ok first lets go back to the last post ...8 months ago...... i graduated from groundschool, haha we were all going . wah wah wah finally graduated. we're gonna fly now... unh unh (shakin my head in a despondent manner) oh how wrong we were. the school had a lack of planes a lack of instructors a lack of funds!!! apparently ceo mark pearson eloped with a couple million... but of course these are all "rumours"
so ok went back home for about 2 months... er lessee... christmas was great... so was new years.... what else????.... hmm lunar new year? i forgot if i celebrated that in sg or here ....ahhh if any of you can remember please get back to me... thanks a million... ok so got back to the philippines and errr i guess i did pretty much nothing... talk about wasted trip... then i came back again... made many good friends(some more special then others... hint hint) much teared farewell... thanks guys it means alot. though it wasnt really a surprise... "wanna go for breakfast... VROOOOOOOOM!"YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! ahaha ok then i got back to the philippines and err(forgive the inconsistent memory apparently my processor has been downgraded to a pentium 2) oh right flew for the first time.... it was great!!! i would say one of the best feelings in the world! aside from ...yea well thats another story for after marriage... flew 5 times in total another 40 to go ... i don't know if this is for sure but apparently my instructor thinks im a good flyer(heard it from another cadet).. though it didnt feel that way up there whatsoever! and then came the 2 and a half month mark.
ok time to leave...stupid mindef rule... but anyway it has its perks(someone knows why i came back. someone. im not going to say who. but i think you might know her veeeeryyy weeeel!)
so packed my bags and flew back home. god you won't know how much i miss this place. wait , GOD does... anyway errr how do i go about writing this next part...oh well here goes honest and without mercy for readers eyes
i spent everyday with her and we got closer and closer and closer and clo... you get the picture. and the rest as they say is history. i shall not bore you with mushy exchanges between said lady and myself . but we do love each other very much... the last week was one of the happiest days of my life. nuff said! and as soon as it all began it ended(my trip i mean!) i packed my bags again(its becoming more and more of an action i dislike whenever i do it in singapore). speaking of singapore. national day brought my latent patriotism to new heights... i could never truly leave you(q some kitt chan national day song... ok enough enough)anyway i'd have to say i've never been so sad, anxious, happy and curious all at the same time(yes love does that... go out, find someone... try it, you might like it ,i know i do)hinthint leo go for it...anyway didnt manage to get to hang out with as many people as i'd like to ... you know who you are... but theres always next time! and oh i've been deferred from ns till july(starting next year you can call me your friendly neighbourhood NSman!)haha and so i left with heavy heart and weary soul. but i will be back.
[and now we come to today. (err guys you might wanna skip this next part) my last time seeing her. if you wanna change babe..( i'll try and get better too.. if you know what i mean. )im all for it .i can't wait to see you on the 7th im counting the seconds! ]
today's flight was cancelled due to the sweeping tail of an incoming typhoon darn it!flights tomorrow and the day after. updates to come.

So yesterday the brand new Alpha Robin came from New Zealand. Only 70 hours of flight time and 8 of those were on test flights. Who's gonna use it you might ask. US OF COURSE! Brand New Alpha For Courses 5 and 6. WOOHOO!!!

I don't know if anyone will read this, but here goes. This post was made on the 14th of January at 5:05 am in a dark room with room temperature 15degreesC.
I don't know when I'm going to start flying. All I know is they keep us in a room 8 till 5 every weekday and talk to us about sorties.
Not saying I'm not grateful and all but I just feel like it isn't what I paid for. When I finished my groundschool, I had such high hopes for what I was about to do when I got back. How anti-climatic eh? So hopefully those brits on their leather cushioned arses will help stuff get a move on already.
In other news, Chinese New Year is around the corner. The festive lunar period begins on Thursday the 7th of Febuary which the singaporean government has graciously declared a public holiday till Sunday the 8th. Also , I'll be there so it'll be even more special. hah
